how many times this has been asked but how do i view someones comments if they are hidden from their profile?

i hate signing on to read my comments when i completely forget what ive said to the person in the beginning and their comments are hidden. i also hate commenting back to the person by saying something along the lines of "i totally forget what i said to you but youre laughing so... haha." :-l it makes me slightly angry.
