i was 17 too and i thought i was in love but it turned out a few months later his feelings changed. but im currently much more happier now. but that is beside the point, all i could think about was who is gonna be first, not what age or married or not. so thats a no for me.

Maybe. I'm moreso waiting for someone who I actually trust for a while.

It kinda makes me curious as to why people pick on young moms - most people who are < 19 years old have had sex and they see it as not a problem, but if someone does the same thing at the same age and they have a child because of it, they're dubbed a whore.

I respect people who do wait, so much.

Unless you're a huge bible thumper, I think it's pretty much useless.
What's wrong with just saving yourself until you're mature, and can afford/manage all of the consequences?
I don't regret not saving myself for marriage, cause odds are the guy i'll marry will have slept with someone before me as well.
Now, sleeping with 6378961278 people before marriage is another story. Probably not a good idea. Unless you enjoy giving a gift that keeps on giving.

Yet, it's still not really fair. My sister got pregnant while she was on birth control and while her boyfriend was wearing a condom. Nothing's ever really fair though.

In Australia it is QUITE rare to be a virgin. Or to have a partner that is.

I'm not "saving myself" for marriage as such. It's more of a commitment I made to myself; to refrain from sex or anything sexual.

I didn't make the commitment because my religion, it's a personal thing. Alot of people (Christian and non-christian) ask me why I am waiting or they simply don't believe I am a virgin.

I know neither of my sisters waited until they were married (although they both got married to the guy they lost their virginity to.) They always voice how proud they are of me, for abstaining from anything sexual. And say how much they wish they could have waited until they were married & admire my self-control.

My boyfriend is understanding and is willing to wait until we are married.
Brad has said many times, how proud of me he is.

I guess in a way, something about waiting until I'm married to have sex is appealing to me. (E.g the symbolic white wedding dress.)

i personally am. my opinion is that my virginity is the greatest gift i would be able to give my husband if i get married. my boyfriend understands my decision and respects it. although i guess you could look at it either way. being akward and totally inexperienced or being pure on your wedding night and giving your husband the gift of your virginaty.

I wish I would have saved myself. But you know what? My sex life right now is decent and it's making me a happy camper. I really have no complains except I wish my boyfriend (at the time) would have been better.
