Conversely, it fucks the natural cycle.
And, really, by the time three months rolls around, you're already ending your first trimester. Nifty numbers.
it doesnt matter to me.
i like not having to worry about it.

1. Melatonin. Can be found at walmart, comes in 3 and 5mg tablets. Your brain naturally produces it to aid you in sleeping, so it's safe and natural.
2. Cold turkey, but with proactive assistance. Gums, patches, ect just put the chemical back into your body.

Probably shouldn't take over 3mg of it a day (probably best not to even have a milligram of it, your body only secretes ~20 micrograms of it a night). It can give you headaches, nausea and make you irritable.
Just because one's body makes it does not mean that supplementation of the chemical or hormone is safe and it should never be assumed to be so. If you're taking any form of medication you should always check your GP on whether it's safe to use.
Melatonin is, so far, known as safe to use, but no studies of supplementation of the hormone have been conducted for any longer than 3 months.
Well put Index, and fully agree. I was more aiming for the "once in a while, cant sleep and need help" situation. Nothing should be taken for prolonged aid in sleep, it's not healthy for you.
I have a bottle of it in my room, and it works great, but I dont use it unless I detect a problem during the night.
