So AT&T.
If you're with them, you can only text people in the states, otherwise, it's 20 cents a text. That is so fucking gay.

If you're American.
Who are you with?
Do you text Canadians?!
Help. Haha.

My texts are North America wide. Guess America has its downsides. They get unlimited data, but shitty text rules. Wee!

I got a notice on my bill saying texts to the States are 15 cents now, or something like that.

For you, certainly.
Locked-in three year Bell plan? Not so much. Tongue
Only thing I pay for to the states is long distance. 500 CDN long distance minutes per month, though.

Hm.
This sucks. =\
Mine are all North America wide too with Rogers.

AT&T has a 100 for 10$ a month, but that's retarded.
I'm sitting at work now, and iPhone deals only with AT&T, so I'm pondering calling them and talking them into giving credits or something... Haha.

1. Feedback is fun.
2. iPhone should be moving to Rogers...uh...at some point. I don't remember the date they gave. Next year, most likely.Gr.

Rogers just sent me a notice saying it costs $0.35 each text to the U.S.
It's pretty sad.

i have t-mobile. i believe calls/texts to canada are free, just count against minutes/text packages. but i have unlimited texts so maybe i have to do the 15c per text thing. not sure yet. text me thousands of times to check? and then pay me the hundreds of dollars?

Effing hell.
I can't afford texting to the states if it's going to cost 35 cents a msg.
That's retarded.

Ohman.
I need to get rid of my cell.
Cause this is hella gay.

My latest bill included the notice. Even with their so-called unlimited plan, it will cost each text for out of Canada.

the thing about t-mobile is if you go outside the city, service drops to 1 or 2 bars usually. but the texting thing...it just counts against your usual text package, i believe. i have unlimited texts, so im not sure if it makes me pay the international charge or not. i might ask eventually.

"Please note that effective July 15th, 2008, the rate for sending a text message from Canada to the United States is changing to 25 cents and will no longer be available in the Domestic Text Messaging Plans."

Just found that on their site.
I'm cancelling my account with them.
I'll go with Telus.

I'm highly considering cancelling, but I'm still locked into the agreement, and don't have the $200 to spend.

I don't even care.
Because I'll run up way more than 200$ in the text charges.
So blah..
This pisses me off, a lot.

My friend has AT&T.
It is soo messed up.
He originally signed w/ Cellular One. Then AT&T bought them out. Well now all of the original Cellular One customers are having problems. Its like he can't get text messages. I sent him one the other day and he didn't get it until the next night. I sent him like 10 last night and he has yet to get them. And also he bought a brand new phone and it messed up and now they won't replace it because it was Cellular One.

Confusing...but whatever. It makes us both mad.
They need to get their stuff together.

I have T-Mobile as well and I called them up recently asking them the same question. If you have the sidekick unlimited package, which is unlimited texting, you get charged 15c per text to Canada while texting from the U.S. If you get a text message in return from someone in Canada while in the U.S. you don't get charged for the text. It comes out of your package, which in this case is the unlimited texting package I have, it doesn't cost me a thing.

Yeah I just called Rogers and screamed at them.
They're not even offering any packages for texting to the US.

So I got out of my 300$ early cancel thing.. But I'm still pissed.
Very pissed.
