def don't go with AT&T I orignally had like 2 months left on my cingular contract when at&t bought it out...and they automatically renewed my contract and all... I can't get out without paying $200

Aye, generally if you have a valid reason for cancellation (it also helps if you've been with the provider for a good period of time), threatening to remove yourself from their service will provide you with some pretty interesting offers.

I've been with them for just over 6 years, now. Who knows. I know Bell would never give a shit. I was with them for 4 years and I still owe them $625 to this day, because they are complete idiots and when I canceled, they just continued my contract.
