My dad just sent me this e-mail...
Heather:
Today is a day for you to take a "proximity reading." This, the 20th anniversary of your birth, you are spending in proximity to the hospital where you were born. Boy have we had many challenges with you since that date...we finally got you to quit wearing those black clothes... But, it has been worth it...I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. Happy Birthday Sis!
See you when you get home.
Dad
...and I cried. It's not very often my parents say things like that to me. We have never been the family to say, "I love you," to each other and we hardly ever tell each other how we feel.
