Still look at pictures of you and them together? Somewhat recently I went to post pics from high school for folks here. It was the first time in some 15 years or so I pulled a pic of her out. Not partial to flashbacks.

Wtf do you miss about them? The way she idolized me for years. Her laughter. Her clinginess, the way she'd just kind of appear out of nowhere and latch on to me with a hug. Her goofy, hyper nature. Her innocence and optimism. Pretty much everything I suppose.

What made them your ex? Me. My being an asshole. Perfectionist, snotty, egotistical... completely intolerant. Thought I knew everything. Verbally and mentally abusive thanks to my anger issues. Totally took her for granted, completely unappreciative even though she went above and beyond what should ever be expected of a girlfriend.

I was a nasty SOB, needed a severe ass kicking to humble me. She provided. Unintentionally for sure, but brutally effective nonetheless.
