DO YOU %*&@$ EVEN KNOW WHAT THE WORD MEANS?!!! Shit, we are even having to make sketchy assed modern dictionary entries to encompass your idiocy, by using the word as it was never intended. I'm sitting here looking over the circular for the grocery, going food shopping tonight... made the God awful mistake of letting myself make eye contact with the 'NATURAL' section...

And I just had to see organic, natural margarine. YOU FUCKTARDS! What is a natural margarine? Do you pick it off a fucking MARGARINE TREE?!!! Is there a special fucking animal out there that squirts margarine out it's tits?

You will blend a whole series of oils, soy protein, lecithin, lactic acid derived from fucking sugar beets and fucking COLOR it...

and what, you fucks, is natural about that process? WHAT doesn't scream fucking chemistry about that? You self righteous, uneducated, mass hysteria, conformist fucktards.

May the next tree you hug give your crotch splinters.

-- OMG! That would have been so funny if that was funny!

Ugh, they totally will, but that people get all self righteous, holier than thou, tripping out on being morally superior to everyone else...

if they were as smart as they thought they were, well... They wouldn't be that stupid would they?

Sorry. I've actually had this class of people regard me 'hick' or 'moron' for not agreeing with their BS, it just amazes me how their obvious stupidity doesn't slap them in the face like a wet flounder.

Snottiness less than, not equal to intelligence.

riiight, stuff like that does kind of piss people
freaking big corporate business trying to put a healthy spin on everything. You see it everywhere, on a lot more than just freakin margarine.

The 'intelligent masses' really would like to be lied too, thats why half the country follows the new latest diet plan thats guaranteed to work, and they all gain 10 lbs, then move on to the next.

Well for one, they call it natural mostly because of the soy. How hard is that to grasp? It's healthier with more natural ingredients than regular margarine... the majority of people who eat those foods are vegans anyway so I don't see how what magic_man wrote applies to anything.

He mentioned the soy in the freakin rant, its not that ingredients aren't natural its that they alter them when putting them and the coloring together, therefore not natural. Whats so hard to grasp about that?

hey, if it claims to be natural it must be more so than the ones that don't. maybe the sugar beets are organically grown or something

That's what chemistry is Truculent. It's not like chemists are teleporting stuff back from the outer rim of the galaxy and making new elements not listed on the periodic table.

They are taking things found in the world, combining them, distilling them etc. etc.

So if that margarine is organic and natural, so is every insecticide, steroid and growth hormone on the planet. You'll find bits and parts of each of those in nature as well.

There's a difference between mixing natural ingredients and adding hazardous additives to your crops before harvesting.

You're confusing 2 very different words is the problem. Healthy vs. natural or organic.

Uranium is natural. You will find it in the ground. I don't recommend you sprinkling it on cornflakes along with countless toxic berries because it occurs in nature, nor adding hemlock to a salad. Any of the above are 'unhealthy' but natural.

Some 'unnatural' products like vitamins etc. are EXTREMELY advisable however and will prolong your life and are incredibly healthy.

But the 2 words have 2 different meanings, and they cannot be interchanged. To do so is dishonest and perpetuates bullshit and confusion to the point where alleged activists and the like have no idea what they even stand for anymore, or even WHY.

Different words, yes.

But natural and organic foods are healthy... I'll take my apples without the scorpion DNA, tyvm.

All of us will. They don't put scorpion DNA in apples.

Splicing that you're likely referring to is 2 similar plants together to produce better fruits, larger, stronger so they can grow in harsher environments. Ever have a beefsteak tomato?

A necatarine you eat, yes? That is a genetically altered peach combining a recessive gene which must be present in each 'parent'.

The reason we produce fruits and vegetables this way? It makes sense, and without this production? Mass starvation. No, not a joke. Literal.

Genetic alteration of these plants is not tubes and wires sticking out of a tomato, pumping them with plutonium.

I just don't like GM foods, even when intellectually justified, it's still wrong on so many levels.

I can't wait for GATTACA.
