It's been MONTHS since I've had to sleep alone.
I have trouble enough getting to sleep when I'm actually with someone, now it's nearly impossible.

Help?

Do you like sleeping alone, or do you prefer to sleep in the same bed as another person?
How do you help yourself sleep?

My sleeping habits are so completely ruined lately.
I really have nothing to offer.

I haven't had a proper night's sleep in so long that I truly cannot remember. Even when I was...call it six? I would wake up at the foot of my bed, with the sheets in a ball beside me. I don't shut off. I can't.

Um... I find music helps. Or, even a movie/TV show. I have my iPod on a charger/stereo stand every night, and I just let it play Dr. Horrible, or Firefly/Serenity over and over again. The familiarity and rhythm assist. Slow, quiet music, too (As a suggestion: Dark Waltz, by Hayley Westenra).

Or, staring into the darkness and focusing solely on one's breathing may help, as well. The mind doesn't let itself go anywhere, and it begins to tune into the rhythm. Soon enough, mom's yelling that your toast is ready.

I always have troubles getting to sleep. I find that taking a shower at night helps. I think about everything that's troubling me in the shower and it just relaxes me. Listening to classical music is always a good idea. Especially something like the Braveheart soundtraclk or some Cirque du Soleil.

I sleep incredibly well with someone else, especially an s/o. It's like as soon as my head hits the pillow, I fall asleep. Yeah, I'm a stealer of the covers, but they get over that pretty quickly when they're with me. Eventually we would just sleep with two quilts or some such solution as that. I'm also the type of person to fall asleep cuddling and then move around as I sleep so that I'm not touching the other person. I like to wake up cuddling, though. I have a sleep bubble, I guess, lol. Not every night, but the majority.

Pillows and lots of em' are the best thing to help me fall asleep. And I do like to sleep with m boyfriend rather then alone.! BUT some people I just cant do it. Like i cant remember the last time me and my sister slept in the same bed. BUT omg, we beat one another in our sleep. Its bad. We both like to use up the whole bed.. So it doesnt work out so well!

I don't sleep well with others. I get hot and uncomfortable and start rolling around and throwing blankets and pillows. It's not a good situation.

I hate sleeping alone. I always need someone to cuddle.

try curling up with a pillow and pretending! sometimes it is the posture you relate to, and putting something to cuddle up to can relax you enough to zzzz off.

I get to sleep faster when I have someone in the bed with me.
With the exception of them snoring, then I'd just prefer to sleep solo.

I've got a body pillow for this purpose though. So..
